There are three main transportation services on Purdue’s campus: Reindeer Shuttle, Lafayette Limo, and Express Air Coach.
Best Prices
All three services require individuals to pay extra for additional bags or rescheduling departures. The prices differ between some services. The following is a comparison of the prices between the three services:
Reindeer Shuttle – $50 + tax for one way ($55 for adults), $100 + tax for round trip, $10 per additional bag
Lafayette Limo – $27 + tax for one way, $50 + tax for round trip, $5 per additional bag
Express Air Coach – $50 + tax for one way ($55 for adults), $100 + tax for round trip, $10 per additional bag
Based on the prices above, Lafayette Limo is the best option when it comes to prices.
Location options
Reindeer Shuttle and Lafayette Limo provide services to both Chicago O’Hare and Indianapolis airports. Express Air Coach does not offer as many locations which is not appealing to some individuals looking to book trips home.
Express Air Coach does offer more rides during busier seasons. Reindeer Shuttle and Lafayette Limo do not mention any extra services available during these times.
Student Preference
After surveying 42 students, Reindeer Shuttle is the most preferred shuttle service available on Purdue’s campus. Express Air Coach does not offer many arguable aspects appealing to students booking trips.
Best Option for Students
Based on pricing, location destinations, and extra costs/expectations, the best choice for students would be Lafayette Limo. Lafayette Limo is the most affordable option, and it provides destination options for both Chicago O’Hare and Indianapolis airports.
Extra costs are minimal to none, and the company provides various ways to book a trip such as online or over the phone.
